About Us

I first sat on a horse when I was three and I immediately fell in love with everything to do with them. I spent my childhood at gymkhanas, leading up to eventing on Exmoor where I grew up.

My father and Irish grandfather liked a bet and my first memory is them taking me racing! In those days it was Taunton and Devon & Exeter, from which I graduated to Newmarket, Goodwood, Royal Ascot and the holiest of holiest Cheltenham.

My father owned a few horses, often with his friends. After watching his horse Arctic Owl win the Irish St Leger, we went onto Australia to come fifth in the Melbourne Cup. What fun. Anyway, one day my Dad claimed he wasn’t getting any more horses because it’s such a fag buying them, dealing with the powers that be, the trainers, the vets, VAT, colours etc. So, I decided to do it for him. And organise his races days too.

From there onwards I started to do it for others too, which has turned into My Racing Manager! My priority is for my owners to enjoy their racing while I sort out all the hassle. And more often than not, save them money too.

I love buying horses for my owners. They describe what they are looking for and I get it for them. I’ve managed lots of lovely winners, for example I bought The 2017 Fred Winter winner in France against a clear brief for a speedy two mile hurdler with flat potential. And when a horse’s racing career comes to an end I help the owners find the best retirement home or next life option for their horse.

I work with a number of trainers, but my priority is always what’s right for the horse and for the owner, whether that be location, type of racing or just cultural and social fit. I never lose sight of the fact that while the owner deserves the very best support, it’s their horse and they make the decisions they want to.
